Pain Management
Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

Internal Medicine
We cover all areas of internal medicine, including but not limited to: Ophthalmology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Cardiology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology and Neurology.

Laser Surgery
Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal, and can even be used in declawing. Laser procedures result in less pain; less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.

Digital Radiology
Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

Acupuncture
We are pleased to announce the introduction of acupuncture to the list of advanced and innovative treatment options available at Hope Animal Medical Center. Dr. Angela Dodd has completed an extensive course of study with the acclaimed International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in Atlanta.

Certain problems such as chronic pain, allergic dermatitis, and gastrointestinal disorders, to name a few, may reap the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. This specialty treatment may be used on its own or in addition to traditional western medical treatments in select cases. Acupuncture appointments and consults will be available Tuesday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Emergency and Critical Care
In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is equipped to administer the ABC's of basic life support – Airway, Breathing and Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center that can augment the services of our hospital and offers emergency overnight observation and critical care.

Rigid Endoscopy
High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This procedure assists in diagnosing your pet's potential problem as well as eliminating a possible concern.

Pharmacy

Hospice and Euthanasia Services
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is extremely painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Our doctors will help guide clients through this most difficult process by giving them information that will assist them in their decision making. House calls for this service are also available. Please call and speak to one of our staff if you are interested in hearing more about our in-home euthenasia services. Options for caring for your pet's remains may also be discussed.

Laproscopy
High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination of your pet’s abdominal cavity without the need for a large surgical incision. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of various abdominal diseases and disorders.

Microchips
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. It only takes a few minutes to implant this device. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery should your pet become lost. Cost includes your pet's registration which is submitted by our office for your convenience.

Ultrasound
This non-invasive technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine your pet and is used for diagnostic purposes as well as pregnancy checks.

House Calls
On occasion, our doctors provide house calls arranged in advance for individual cases where this service is deemed necessary. There is an additional cost for this service. Doctors must pre-approve house calls in order fo us to adjust our schedule accordingly.

Small Mammals, Reptiles and Birds
Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics.
