Adoptions
Hope Animal Medical Center Adoption Program
Hope Animal Medical Center is dedicated to the safety and well-being of all animals. While we are not a rescue organization or shelter, on rare occasions, we will have animals for adoption. Most of our adoptable animals are taken in because they have extensive medical needs and have no one to provide them with the care that they require. To view adoptable animals, please click here.
All of our adoptable animals are given a thorough exam by a doctor, vaccinated accordingly, de-wormed, and spayed/neutered when age appropriate. Dogs (if old enough) are tested for heartworms and cats are tested for feline leukemia/feline immunodeficiency virus. If animals are adopted and require additional vaccines or de-worming, the new owner accepts full responsibility for these costs. If the animal has not been spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, the owner agrees, in writing, as part of the adoption contract, to return the animal to HOPE Animal Medical Center to be spayed/neutered before 6 months of age.
Our animals are adopted into the most appropriate home for each individual animal. We do not adopt animals on a first come, first served basis.
If you are interested in adopting an animal from us, please click here to fill out the form or go to the “Forms” link on the home page. Please be sure to complete the application in full as incomplete applications will delay the process.
Our Adoption Coordinator will contact you if there are any questions about your application, if your application has been approved, and to schedule a time for you to visit the animal you are considering adopting. The adoption process generally takes several days to a week to complete.
If you would like more information on our adoption process or on any of our adoptable animals, please contact the Adoption Coordinator via e-mail at: [email protected].
Thank you for considering adoption with us and we wish you much success in your quest to find a new “furever” friend!
